Alon Shachar
Board Member
Alon has been actively involved in the LGBTQ+ community since 2010, initially as a volunteer for the Jerusalem Pride and Tolerance Parade organization. He later took on various roles with Israel's LGBTQ+ Education and Change organization (Hoshen) and the Gila Project. Currently, he works as a consultant for social change organizations and businesses, providing leadership and team development guidance.
His previous positions include serving as the Executive Director of the Jerusalem Open House for Pride and Tolerance (2019-2023) and Co-Director of the Sadaka-Reut Arab-Jewish Youth Partnership (2015-2016).
Alon holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Business Administration and Gender Studies, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He resides in Tel Aviv-Yafo with his partner.

Ofer Yehuda
Board Member, Treasurer
Has served in various Board positions throughout the years. Currently works as the Training Center Director at IGY (Israel Gay Youth), while maintaining his practice as a therapist and teaching reflexology at his Tel Aviv clinic and at Reidman College.
"Project Gila represents the opportunity to engage in social activism as a community, from a feminist-queer perspective."

Tamar Ben David
Chairperson
A queer-feminist activist and the daughter of the late Avital Rokeach. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Jewish Thought and a Master's degree in Cultural Studies. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in Foreign Literatures at Ben-Gurion University. Her previous research focused on narratives of gender-based violence, and her current research centers on trans literature. Additionally, she contributes opinion pieces and commentary to various publications and works as an independent lecturer.
"I believe in our power as an organized and solidarity-based community, first within itself and then extending outward. We work towards gender equality as part of a deeper vision of justice and wellbeing for all."

Prof. Iris Rachmimov
Board Member
Historian and activist from Tel Aviv University. Her research focuses on Israeli trans history, tracing it back to the early years of the state, long before the term "transgender" came into use. She previously served as Head of the General History Department and was a Board Member of the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI).
"I believe in a solidarity-based community that allows everyone to express themselves freely in terms of gender and all other aspects. The trans community embodies a vision of gender liberation that extends to many cisgender people as well."

Alon Livneh

A dedicated father of two and a professional in the high-tech sector.
With a longstanding commitment to social impact, he has been actively involved in several LGBTQ+ organizations, including Hoshen and IGY. He also served on Hoshen’s board of directors, contributing to advancing education and advocacy efforts.
